No wonder I don't get enough sleep

Lets not even count life in general, but between knitting, reading, reading knitting books and patterns, blog, blog hopping, flicker, and now- spinning- when is there time to sleep?
Blue socks are done! At least one Project Spectrum project is done in time. Trekking ProNatura (25% bamboo, 75%wool) Gentleman's Socks from Nancy Bush's book Vintage Socks. I adjusted for a woman's foot and I knit the foot in plain stockinette because I like the way the yarn unfolds without the pattern stitch. I also made a pointed toe, just for the hell of it. Trekking ProNatura is a wonderful yarn to work with and to wear.
Blue socks!

I got a little (as in tiny!) niddy noddy (well, what did I know?) and I thought I was following the directions from the online video, but- well- maybe not... So I wound it into a cake. I hope to have time later tonight to knit it. OK, OK, stop laughing. I happen to be very proud of myself... in short, I need some lessons. I just love the colors here. I call it Tiger Eye, (Tiger eye - offers courage, energy, and luck) like the gem stone.

I love your sock. They look very sophisticated (if socks can be called that).

I think your spinning is wonderful. You should have seen my first handspun. It was just horrible. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be a spinning fool. I learned a lot about spinning from the net. I'd start at Spindlicity and link my way around. Also, you might want to check out videos of spinning on You Tube. And feel free to shoot me an email if you have any question.

Oh, no! Your spinning looks great. Your niddy noddy skills- not so much. Heh. Here's a photo of what the yarn should look like on it. Once you get the hang of it, it's so fun to use one. I love the arm movement while winding.

Pretty socks! Pretty, pretty yarn! You have every right to be proud of both, even if your next batch of yarn on the niddy-noddy (I haven't got one, they frighten me :-) looks tidier. Who needs sleep, anyway?

the socks are lovely - and I'm already impressed with your niddy noddying. It will only get better. Sometimes its good to have to learn something from scratch again:)

Love the socks...I agree, stockinette on the foot all the way! (I think it feels better...jmho) And you're niddy-noddy is way better than I could do (since I've never tried!)

Your socks look fab! I'll have to try that design out with some of my Trekking. And your niddy noddy is just too cute. "Tiger Eye" is just an awesome name for the yarn.

Just found your blog and wanted to say Sleep, hah. I just learned to spin on a drop spindle about two weeks ago, the husband is away, and I keep ending up spinning until way past my bedtime! Your new yarn looks beautiful!

I love the sock - both colour and design! Great niddy noddying! If I stop and think about what I'm doing I go all wrong - once you get the hang of it I think its better to have your brain switched off! Try the 'Spin Off' section on Interweave Press's site as they have lots of great info re spinning and a fab book 'A HandSpindle Treasury' which has loads of great info, plus 'Spinning in the old way' by Priscilla Gibson-Roberts. Sorry for the essay!
