Come home and get the mail from the mail box. Check my phone messages. charge the cell phone. check email. check my blog. check my flicker account. charge the palm. read my blogRSS feed. comments. I love comments. Don't you? 2-3 hours later (!)- emerge a little dazed, to find the kid eating cookies instead of dinner. he can reach up to the top shelf? since when? note to self: must move the snacks to a higher shelf! what to do tonight? finalize pattern for sit n knit secret feet. finalize pattern for ISE4. I think I have enough yarn for both (...) and I leave you with a picture of the cutest skein you ever saw. my very own hand spun. (try #2)

Beautiful! Congratulations. It shows you are a great spinner. If this is your first, it is done very smooth an even. Really. Beautiful colours! And those neckwarmers. They are great! A mix between jewels and functional scarf. Great idea. Really. Yepp, spring are showing signs of existing. Hmm.. Motivation - that is why kids reach higher ;-)
I know that feeling. "I'll just check my email..." an hour and a half later I realise I've read all the blogs on the RSS feed but I haven't done any of the myriad things I HAD to do ASAP. It's not quite as bad as it was when I inhabited Usenet, but still... think of all the friends we've made. And the kid is learning tact, decision-making and self-reliance, crucial skills these days. Just make sure only healthy snacks are within reach!
Beautiful yarn! I'm trying hard to put boundaries around my Bloglines timesink - and all that other "checking". You're right, though - comments are the best - even just one or two totally makes my day.
It really is a technical world we live in. It feels good to see your own gorgeous handspun among the technical devices :-)
The spinning is gorgeous, warm colours should make for some cosy knitting too.
How often is too often for comment checking?!
I just love your "cutest skein!" And yes, the computer (and all the other electronics) take up a ton of time, but in a way it's truly keeping up with all the friends out there...even if we don't actually "KNOW" each other, huh?
(((hugs)))
The yarn looks gorgeous.
It's amazing how much time you can spend with technology without realising. I've been trying to limit my online time a bit recently so I can take advantage of spring and the finer weather. I do love being 'connected' with people all over the world though, it's wonderful to get to know people you usually wouldn't.
