48 down, one more to go!

That is the number of swatches I have, (48) and the number of swatches I need (1) to finish my swatch blanket. Why 49? ok, so each sq is 7"x7" (or close...) and I wanted to continue the 7 theme, 7 rows of 7 colums, 7x7 is 49. This is just a random spread on the floor, without any thought to the matches. I am thinking of a 3 needle bind-off in a brownish color to assemble. maybe cascade 220 will be a good sturdy yarn for this task.

Here are my 3 latest. Freeform, snowflake and unknown.

FO

Just a few little things to keep me busy while I do more "important" things, like worry...
Simple socks for my son. knit with the Austermann Step I made the fingerless gloves from, last year. This time I knit them much bigger... Lets see how long that lasts… Top down. 56 sts. 6/2 rib. 2 on 2 circs. One skein only, for gloves and socks.

A little neck warmer from the malabrigo left over from the Koolhaas hat.the first neck warmer of 2008. its still in! left over malabrigo from the koolhaas hat. its 4" by 12" when slightly stretched. it needs an icord and a button decision.
the stitch is a Smocking Stitch, as seen here.

2008 Knitting Resolutions

2008 has been declared the year of Fearless Knitting, and I am ready to do my part. I think. The list has some intimidating items. The following list is Not in order...Its a short list. By all means, these are not the only things I want to knit. (ha!) Unlike my Ravelry queue.... But these are the things that have intimidated me until now, and I want to fearlessly tackle in 2008.

Definitely finish all of my 2007 UFO!

Knit from stash

Its true, one of my, not yet published, new year resolutions is to knit more from stash, and I will, as soon as these will be in my stash...
Knitty City- 10%off sale today. Gift certificate from my crew. I think these are good reasons to start my yarn diet next week. don't you? Misti alpaca hand dyed in the bag. I see a clapotis in my very near future! (Another NYR!)
Yes. I am wearing a Koolhaas hat. I made a second!!!!! Lucy talked me into it...
