48 down, one more to go!
That is the number of swatches I have, (48) and the number of swatches I need (1) to finish my swatch blanket. Why 49? ok, so each sq is 7"x7" (or close...) and I wanted to continue the 7 theme, 7 rows of 7 colums, 7x7 is 49. This is just a random spread on the floor, without any thought to the matches. I am thinking of a 3 needle bind-off in a brownish color to assemble. maybe cascade 220 will be a good sturdy yarn for this task.

OOOOOh, what wonderful squares/swatches. You will have so much fun using this blanket and remembering each project.
i love it! can't wait to see it done up. i agree with gail, what fun to remember projects and knitwear even after it may be gone... like a soundtrack, only better because it's made by you.
What fun! And Cascade 220 is such a great yarn...can't wait to see it all done up!
(((hugs)))
Yippee! I can imagine how good that feels! The bind off sounds great and brown will add a nice colour contrast. Good luck!
What a wonderful idea to use swatches - it will be a really original and personal blanket :-)
I love it. It kind of reminds me of a crazy quilt!
Such a neat project! I can't wait to see it finished.
Very cool! What a great idea! A knitted quilt! My compliments to you!
SO wonderful! The 3 needle bindoff join is a terrific idea, and will add some structure, too. Can't wait to see this all assembled.
that is looking good, I am anxious to see the result!
Love your pink/purple square on the bottom...I actually made a sweater out of the same yarn which turned out too small...I'm considering frogging it. I like how it knits up in a square.
Each square is greater than the previous one! I love your freeform, so intricate looking. It's going to be an amazing blanket.
Just to let you know I passed on an award to you on my blog!
Dang, crazy swatch blanket doesn't do it justice. Can't wait to see you all wrapped up in it!
