On buying yarn

I signed up for a socks exchange with my knitting group and I am totally nervous. So out goes the sock yarn stash to see if I have what it takes. My secret sock likes certain colors, but I have a feeling there is nothing in my stash that will work, despite the fact that I have every color in the rainbow and than some. I'll have to shop for sock yarn!! Hooray! But- once i find the yarn and the pattern I will not be able to show it until the final exchange at the end of April. Sorry............And I also have Foolish from Hello yarn. What can I say? I also got my first ever spindle and some fiber to try and spin. Next week my knitting group will have a sit N’ spin- I am going to take the plunge, with eyes wide open to the consequences. I am SOOOOOOOOO excited.
I also signed up for the International Scarf Exchange 4. I enjoyed last time; looking forward to this round!

Your sock yarn collection certainly makes impression. It reminds me I have some serious work to do in that area.
Love the colours in your Foolish!

Yah, there is NOTHING in your sock stash that your Secret Feet would like. You should go yarn shopping. Definitely. :-)

What a great stash! Love the looks of the Trekking. No, you surely MUST add to it - besides, sock yarn doesn't count!

Am interested in your spindling...

I get nervous about sock exchanges too, but what a great excuse to shop for the perfect yarn. :-)

Nice looking sock yarn stash you've got there. I'm afraid I'm in the same boat as you. I searched my stash and can't find anythign remotely close to what she likes. Guess I'll be yarn crawlin for the rest of this week.

Ooo, look at all that Trekking... The spindle is very pretty! Hope you enjoy it - don't be frustrated, drop-spindling can be hard at first and you might feel like eight arms wouldn't be enough... but it's amazing to make your own yarn!
Keep us posted, on the sock-yarn shopping and the spinnning lesson!

Thanks for the note on the ISE4. I liked the last round too ;)

Oh forget your stinkin' sock stash--just look at that spindle and roving! Be prepared for a lot of manicotti and spaghetti before you get angel hair. Then....well, considered yourself warned.;)

I'm loving your stash of sock yarn -- sometimes I think knitters are as much collectors as they are craftwomen. Good luck with the spinning!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I am finally half way through my Walk Two Moons analysis and on my way to doing more reading--about Children's literature rather than knitting. Sigh.....

Aw come on, you know you want to go shopping really. The Hello Yarn is stunning.

Oh, wow. Nice stash, but of course sock yarn doesn't count as 'shopping'; it's so small, disappears so quickly. I agree, you need more. Just remember to leave room for the tops and the roving you're going to need to satisfy the spinning habit! I really hope you enjoy it.

WOW, that is an impressive stash! The colours in Foolish look gorgeous.
Enjoy your spinning too, you'll find it becomes addictive!

I'm looking forward to reading about your adventures with spindle-spinning. My sister, an old hand at both the spindle and wheel, is encouraging me to have a go, but I haven't got around to it yet.

Love all those sock yarns. ~~drool~~

Trying to look at your stash and guess if I am your secret feet (from my comments on the form we filled out)!! Oh the anticipation!! I am still trying to decide which way to go for mine. It is going to be tough keeping a straight face when all of us secret sock knitters see each other at various events!! We need to wear our poker faces!! Oh and by the way...spinning is so muh fun!! You are gonna love it!!
