Norovember!

Thanks everybody for your kind words and congrats. I dropped the pillows (cushions) at the gallery on Monday afternoon, and got very nervous. All these strangers will look at my work- oh no! But, it’s too late for that, so I went home to do some knitting!
Norovember - What a great idea. I adore Noro. The colors are great, the fibers are interesting. Sure, there are those annoying little knots with odd colors changes here or there, but- it is always magic!
So this was a great opportunity for me to get on with two projects I have wanted to do for a long time. Bradshaw in Iro from Noro knits (the short version), and a grown-up version of the Child's Rainbow from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. See Steph’s version of it here.
So I went to Fuzzy Mabel with a tip I got from Norovember mistress herself, and got Iro for a good price in color 40. I happen to love the colors. A well-meaning friend, (who is not always on the same wave length as me when it comes to color, and who is not a knitter) declared it swampy mud and rotten leaves, which is a description I find rather pleasant and organic. Go figure. One person’s medicine is another’s poison. We also have a saying that you can never argue about tastes and smells. The colors are very similar (oddly enough) to Dave's gorgeous pullover in Silk Garden #203. I love the colors. And I have plenty of Kureyon for the scarf.
Plus an idea I have for a mitered hat, which I got when I saw Holly playing with Noro Silk Garden color transitions.
In view of all the stash enhancements I saw on blog land after Stitches East, I thought I might do some Noro stash flashing, but I’d rather be knitting…
Actually, I really should be doing my paperwork. But you’ve heard me say that before, haven’t you? That paperwork is my nemesis. I’d rather be knitting…

Wow, that sweater will be fabulous! Best of luck. I've never used Iro, but that colorway is calling me...

Go knit, it's much more fun than paperwork :-)

I'm on a Noro high since finishing my Silk Garden jacket. I'm working on mittens with a skein of Kureyon for my daughter.

Oh, that's going to be so yummy!!

It's amazing that the two yarns look so different in the skein and so similar knit up. Gorgeous colours -- you have such excellent taste! ;-)

I like the Noro colours but felt the horizontal banding on most patterns would be Too Much for me. The vertical ribs on 'Bradshaw' look promising, and I love the collar. I look forward to seeing it!

Oh, I'm too late to send my good luck for the show. Hope lots of people showed up. Please say you didn't sell those pretty things of yours...
I love Noro yarn too, even though I don't have much experience off it, but the colour ways are so gorgeous. That is also what your sweater will be!
About the head band I wrote about on my blog. No, sorry, pattern not yet available in english. If you like me to try to translate e-mail me at: evas_syster"at"hotmail"dot"com.

That sweater will be amazing! I have a Lady Eleanor shawl in the Silk Garden which is very similar, and I can never get tired of those blues greens and other odd colors mixed in.

Congrats on the Craft show! I had the good fortune to work in a LYS with an owner who was a total Noro slut and therefore enabled my stash(tho' I have to focus on warm weather blends). I love the scarf pattern..scampers off to shop the stash.;)

Flash that noro! I really love that sweater and look forward to seeing yours come to life. I think the colors are pretty--I'd say more earthy/greenery than swampy. :)

Everyone will love your pillows--they're intricate works of art!

I'm always afraid to use Noro because I'm a bit of a control freak and have a hard time buying yarn when I can't really envision what it'll look like knit up. The colorway you picked is beautiful, though!
