New species of caterpillar found in the wild
This new species of caterpillar (new in my stash...) is the Speed Demon Sock in colorway Angel from SweetGeorgia yarns. I have wanted one of these for a while, ever since I saw it metamorphosed into socks in some remote blog or other (can't remember where). A recent trip to visit my friend Barbara at The Point NYC, (she teaches there) yielded this terrific acquisition!

I like the caterpillar on the top. Great colours. Calm fall colours looks great!
I love your photographs - they are always so imaginative.
Little caterpillar will metamorphasize -- pupatize? whatever :-) -- into some absolutely lovely socks!!
Such a cool photo :) (You always take great ones!)
I found a black swallowtail caterpillar on my parsley last week--I hope it hits pupa mode asap! MORE sock yarn? I'm calling you Pippi!
The SweetGeorgia yarn is delicious; you're gonna love it. I found the dyer's own Angel socks rather captivating. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Pretty pretty pretty catepillar!
:)
And I also love you're new sidebar photo!
(((hugs)))
Oh, I would be very happy if I found caterpillars like that in my garden :-)
Alas it is too cold and wet in my garden now for any kind of caterpillar. I can't wait to see what socks yours metmorphasizes into!
Your pictures are real eye-candies, I especially love the colours of the leaves, green and a hint of red - beautiful (and of course I like the sockyarn, too!)
I also want to thank you so much for your comment, it´s so nice to be surrounded by lovely, talented, great women like you. Thank you very much.
