Thank you all for your warm wishes. I am sure to start the new week better knowing you guys are cheering for me! In a week or so, the schedule will stabilize. It has to, right? I will get through this, one stitch at a time!

Wow - I don't think I could ever take this off the teapot it's so brilliant!
Wow! I am really impressed. I have tried to do a sort of free form quilting and what I learned is this. Some people have the kind of mind that can do it and I am not one of them. I am always trying to put symmetry and order into it. I am sure it would be the same with knitting. That you can let go and do it is amazing to me. It is beautiful, and useful as well.
This is really amazing - all the more so since I have been slowly firming up the idea of freeform knitting and crochet in my own mind over the past couple of months. I thought I was the only one - now I find you've created this incredible piece and there's a whole GROUP out there on Ravelry! Maybe the time was right...

Things do (usually!) get better. Especially if you've got something as interesting as that incipient tea cosy to look at. I've got a book on freeform fibreart, just haven't done anything with it; you may inspire me. And those socks look lovely. Nice socks, yarn... see, life is not so bad :-)
