I don't think it will ever be the same again. One of my son's birthday is today. For 18 years it was just September 11th. Now when I tell people it's his birthday it's a totally different reaction. A few years ago he said that for the rest of his life (he turns 25 today) he would hear about 9/11 on his birthday. It was a perfectly wonderful day. For me it still is with tons of sadness added in.
Liverpool had the Round the World clipper race boats in the dock on the 11th and the New York boat was there. We all had a minutes silence and a wonderfull singer sang 'You'll never walk alone' which is Liverpools unofficial anthem. It was such a poinient and heartwrenching moment and my heart goes out to you all.
Fabulous. Did you knit this? On Sept 11 a friend from Sweden was visiting and he had tickets to return home on Sept 12. needless to say, he was stranded with us for a fearful week--his family in Sweden feared the worst and that they would not see him for a long, long time.msy6811

This date will never be the same again, will it?
Of course it does...so much (and so many) lost. So senselessly.
I've got three communities in my thoughts and prayers today. Because you all lost the most...
Your knitted tribute is beautiful.
(((hugs)))

I love your knitted tribute.
Thinking about you today.
Yes, yes it does. {{{Hugs to you and yours}}}
