Brooke’s Column of Leaves

IMG_7895.JPG

Brooke’s Column of Leaves
Its done! Brooke’s Column of Leaves , sea wool (70% merino wool, 30% Seacell), addi lace us6. pleasant to knit. I knit 2 columns . The color on top (folded) is the correct one. It is very very soft, and the seacell gives it a bit of a silky sheen. after blocking it is 54''x10''
Just in time for my second item for project spectrum 2. this was the first.
Also fulfills my resolution to finish 3 lace items in 2007! More photos soon. I am blogging from work. Internet connection trouble AGAIN!

That scarf can also qualify for ECF considering the beautiful pictures you take.

Beautiful! Lovely shade of green. I like how you made 2 columns. Go Hila! (I'm still doing my No Rain Dance.)

Totally gorgeous. I've never knit with seacell, but I have fondled it in the YS, so I can well imagine that it feels totally heavenly too.

This scarf is so beautiful! Maybe this year I will take the courage and the patient, too, to start something lacey and your scarf makes me feel 'I want it, too'. Is it very difficulty for lace-beginners?

Loooovely! I will definitely be making this myself. I had my first SeaWool sighting at my LYS last week & was very impressed.

So lovely, really. And you just powered through it, the pattern really just gets to become second nature doesn't it? For me it's usually after umpteenth mistake. I love how beautifully the color and pattern go together.

So beautiful and I think I rather it with the two columns of leaves. That colour is fantastic as well and so right for such a leafy lace!

It is beautiful! What a delicious sight for my eyes! I'ma total lace beginner, and I'm having slight start up trouble, so I'm trating myself to look at other people's wonderful work! Thank you for giving me a little more energy to keep it going. Your work is what I aspire to!

I said I would not buy any more needles but I gave in and bought some of the Addi lace ones as I have some Kid Silk Haze that I think will need them !!

That is absolutely gorgeous! Really love how the yarn made the pattern pop - so very beautiful.

I simply love it! The colour is so me and I wish I could lay my hands on a hole lot of yarn. Pattern is just perfect for this shade. Great choice!

Your lace scarf is outstanding!! Fabulous. Marvelous! See, you CAN knit lace. Now, try a shawl. I recommend the Wool Peddler's shawl from Folk Shawls by Cheryl Ob erle. It is an easy lace shawl and it looks and feels beautiful. I made it a number of years ago out of cotton. Would be great out of wool.
