A tiny post today. Its nice to have a brother in Paris, and this is where I am right now. can't upload pix here, but just to say 3 yarn shops today although only one good one- La Drogurie.
9 50g balls of natural alpaca; all different colors. not a dye in the bunch! love it. it was tough to shop, since it is 90°F (32°C) and most shops in Paris have no AC, or even fans; not to mention a sceaming 4 year old, poor thing was too hot to nap ( as was planned....hahaha!) but I did it!

Wow, sounds great! Have fun (as if you need my encouragement!) :)
It does sound great, but it's hot to be doing all that walking about (it's 32 degrees here too).
Have a great time!
I went last year in February and it was freezing. Have a fantastic time, it's a wonderful place.
Oh, I love Paris! But then you just have to go to Les Halles. There is a bakery (boulangerie) namned Finkelzstajns, at 27 Rue des Rosiers, and they have the most deliscious onion bread I have ever had. Well I never had onion bread before but I'm sure it's hard to get some that's better. They fill them with different "stuffings" and add tomatoes and pickled gherkin. I've only tried the vegetarian one with olives and something red (can't remember what it was, guess I'm too extatic about it:) Well, I had the same every time I went there on both my trips to Paris. They are just jummie!
Can't tell you about great yarn stores I'm afraid. Wasn't hit by the the yarn bug then.
Have a wonderful time!
Yay! I love La Drogurie. Glad to hear you are having a good time in Paris, despite the heat. Have a Croque Monsier for me, oh and a sandwich...
I'm so jealous! I love Paris! Sounds like it's too hot for Angelina's chocolat African, but just right for Bertillon.
What happened? My comments doesn't stick. I'm Like a post-it in the wind. You lucky you in PARIS! just a fab place. And yummy yarn. three shops? WOW. That is busy. To comfort you, it is hot here in the north (Sweden) as well. Really HOT. 30 degrees. And AC is not possible to buy. Take care my friend.
Bertillon and L'Orangerie! Don't forget your French football jersey--probably the best time to see museums is during the World Cup final--no crowds!
Wow! Enjoy Paris! Sounds like a great buy you goth there. I never seem to find the really good yarn shops when I am away.
Sounds very nice to be in Paris - hope you have a wonderful time :-)
I was in La Droguerie this morning and purchased 189 Euros of yarn and their book of patterns for babies. I loved that shop. I could have spent hours and hours looking at yarn, buttons, ribbon and beads. How did you get out of there alive??
Oh, and the temps were nice--we missed the heat wave.
