The flowers were not meant to be a smoke screen covering no-knitting... There has been knitting!
Austreman step sock. Its my 24/lost/soprano project. When watching TV is more "demanding..."
Another secret project- just above here
and my pin stripe cardi- which I wish was done last week. these are the sleeves. back and the two fronts are finished. It will soon be done. I get that familiar feeling at my finger tips, when you are on a role and the project is soon done. And I may have to do a crochet project. Not that anyone is forcing me to do it, but THIS is just so amazing, and I have some stash for it! I think I have a crush on that blanket...

And thanks for your encouragements (from the pros no less!) about the spinning. I had not had much time, but this weekend there will be lots of spinning . Fleece Festival in Brooklyn on Saturday and Sit n' Spin...Yarn with my knitting group on Sunday!

Oh...double trouble? LOL! Blogger must have hiccuped? I love the sleeves, the sock, the pulled together odds and ends for the blanket!
(so glad you're still a knitting blog! but I love love love your photos, too!)
Yes, we must stop and smell the flowers.
(((hugs)))
Oh my gosh Hila, I saw that blanket in Purl months ago and I have been obsessed with figuring out how to make it. DUH, there's a pattern. I have been going on and on about it to Hubby! Thanks for linking to the flickr album and the pattern, I am so psyched! SO having another Sit n' Crochet :-)
Smoke screen covering no-knitting? Even if you insisted that there was no knitting going on, I wouldn't believe you...I think flowers can be inspiring for knitting too - all the wonderful colors and shapes. I can truly understand the crush you have on those blankets - I think I just fell in love too... Puh, all those projects...:-)
Those socks are amazing! I don't crochet either but would love to make one of those blankets.
that's a wonderful thing to be teaching your son! we should all be remembering to stop and Look.
I know, isn't the babette blanket just gorgeous? Speaking of gorgeous, that secret project is quite the looker! I love the flowers, nature and the colors, quite the inspiration for me.
Ooooo Weeee - I'm loving those socks!!!
love the socks and the blanket. beautiful.
the pics of flowers say it like no one can!
Crochet is fun-you should definitely go for it. I think it lends itself to improvisation more than knitting does.
Oooh, the colorwork project is GREAT.
I just love that crochet blanket - that would really drive me mad as I have a problem with crochet and being able to do it! What a great idea of the Fleece Festival in the zoo - now why doesn't every zoo do that? I love the colours of the current projects and understand the need for mindless knitting for 'demanding' TV! And after a cold and dark winter it's always such a great idea to stop and enjoy the life and beauty around us all so don't stop with the photos!
Oh no ,I love the flower shots :)after all aern't all things around us an inspiration ?
Some great knitting going on here , love those sleeves. Great blanket and what a great stash buster it would be .
Have fun at your spinning weekend ; I am sure you will love it :)
Those are some gorgeous sleeves!!! And gorgeous stash!! What fun you are having.
funny: I also have 2 projects: 1 for watching tv ( I knit with Grey's and Gilmore girls, but Lost too) and another more demanding knitting. Love your more demanding knitting by the way: great colour combination. Made it up yourself?
Your mystery project, whatever it is, is beautiful -- the pattern, balanced and the colors, perfect! And really you must, must, must make a Babette blanket -- the pictures you linked us to are amazing. All the blankets look like abstract paintings!
