All grown up!

My first hand spun hat on
This is what my yarn is doing today. it was great fun to knit. I could not stop- I kept wanting to see what's next. can one be in love with one's first hand spun hat............? I am going to sleep with it on my head tonight. its definitely cold enough! its lined with knitpicks Ambrosia (80% Baby Alpaca, 20% Cashmere) in color grass. I also used a bit on top, since I ran out of yarn.

What a wonderful cozy hat for you to wear with pride!! Some day I will start spinning--I've been holding out because I fear it will take away from my precious knitting time. Thanks for your praise for my blankets. I must say that both turned out better than I ever thought--and I had high hopes for each!!

I think you and I are just about in the same place with our spinning. I can totally relate to how you feel about that hat. The soft band you put on the inside makes it really special. Beautiful!

Also, the photos in the previous post are exquisite!

Love the lining--yummy cashmere on the skin, totally rockin' handspun on the outside. 4/13 was a lucky day!

Your handspun hat is amazing! Gorgeous colors, and I love the solution for running out of yarn at the top. Nice work!!

Liking it alot! The lining also adds a little 'something'. I am trying to work out how to line a pretty pair of mitts that are too 'airy'!
