Crazy, Cozy, Knitted Quilt
The Quilt is almost done! It just needs a border. I was pondering my options when cauchy09 suggested applied i-cord! It will work well. Also, will be a good place to attach the lining.
This has been "in the works" for a while..... The oldest swatch is 15 years old! (it was a vest for my nephew who was 1, and just turned 16 last week) The most recent was finished this month! [The H in Noro and Malabrigo. I guess I needed a "stamp," but I was too eager to finish, (or was it that Lost was on and I could not think?) so I did not chart the whole HPNYKNITS.] Some of the swatches, I knit after the piece was done. As a memory, and or record of knitting. I did not write notes though... Perhaps I should from now on.
I was going to make a 2008 swatch, but it really was not appropriate.... Its a quilt of sevens. Each swatch is (supposed to be...) 7"x7". And there are 7 rows and 7 columns.

The Tale of the Snowflakes
Once upon a time there was winter, and in the winter of the North East it used to snow. This winter there was but one little dusting in NYC. Some people blame global warming. I love snow in the country-side, its so pretty and majestic, but in an urban setting- only on the weekend, or holidays. Otherwise it turns to slush/dirt/messy city. Don't get me wrong, it can be pretty in the city as well, but- only for a minute . So for the lack of snow here this year, I thought out some flakes. I loved the snow flake sweater in IK Holiday Gifts, (that issue had some fab deigns, don't you think? Think Koolhaas) and when I saw the chart was 18 stitches across- my mind thought18x2=36 half of 72, great sock numbers! I loved the colors and that was it! Koigu Addi us1- 2 on 2.

I was agonizing over what to wear to meet such celebs.
The Noro hat and Latifa were my choice.
