More neck warmers and a pal for my pet...

The pink/ purple and blue Ribbon neck warmer- made with merino of unknown origin, from stash. 3 color seed st over 30 stitches. make a button hole. fold in half. crochet closed and sew the button.
for a little girl who likes pink/ purple and blue.

And another red neck hug for a friend's birthday. Hope she likes it. I call it the Elizabethan neck hug.

Its Esperanza yarn, from Schaefer Yarn, 70% lambswool, 30% alpaca, in the Memorable Women collection, but this one is old- the color is called Lucille Ball.

And after reading that alpacas are social animals, and one should never have just the one, I had no choice but get mine a pal...
You all want to know what I'll be asking from this and the other alpaca pet- but I don't have a plan for them yet.

Do we see the beginnings of a herd?

I love your neck warmers and am jealous of your Alpacas! (or is the plural alpaca?)- they may need more friends....

love the neckwarmers! And that orange yarn is particularly gorgeous!

The alpaca herd reminds me of the scarf my DD has asked me to make her - a lace sampler scarf she saw somewhere in the many natural hues of alpaca...
Can't wait to see what you do with yours! I know it'll be wonderful, no matter what!
(((hugs)))

What a cute little neck hug, looks so cozy. The scarf is lovely, too. So sweet to make it in the colors she likes best.

What are you trying to do to me with all the gorgeous neckwarmers? You're killing me. I want them. I want ALL OF THEM, and in THOSE EXACT COLOURS.

Thanks for sharing how you did the pinky/purple one, not that I can crochet, or mix different colour yarns. Is the other one your pattern? I see it looks as though you mentioned it before - I'll go back over your posts and check.

By the way, I know what you mean about "getting in the zone", knitting or otherwise!

Hi! I have never posted on a blog before. I am 62 and really do not even know what a blog is but I was looking for pattern for neck warmers for my daughter and you have the cutest one that I have seen.
I must have the pattern (can you tell that I really do not know how to knit?) for the orange one. Could you tell me where you got it? I would love to get one.....
Thanks for your time and beautiful work!!!!!

Your neck warmer looks so cozy, love that style! Alpaca yarn is something I would like so much to touch, I think I never did, cause there is no shop here around who has it. I really envy you for having now 2 skeins!
Thank you so much again for your comment, you are always so very kind to me! I thought Barbara twigs are well-known everywhere, but maybe only here in Bavaria. You have to cut them on the 4th of december (apples and cherries are the best), the day of Saint Barbara, and when they are blooming on Christmas, this means very good luck for the next year. My twigs have never ever managed to bloom at this date, but I think/hope January isn´t bad at all.
Happy knitting!

I made something similar to your Elizabethan neck hug a couple years ago - I wear it with the buttons at the top!

Anyhoo...I checked out your Sudoku pillow - that's fantastic!!

Neck warmers! What a great idea, saves all that double looping that otherwise goes on to get the same huggy feel & the colours on yours are georgous. I've had a hat fest, there usually is a sock fest going on but I feel some neck hugs coming!
